7 beautifully restored 500 year old 4 & 5 star graded cottages sleeping 2-10. Stunning location in the village of Boot beneath England's highest mountains, Scafell & Scafell Pike. Set in the heart of the Lake District National Park, you can enjoy countless walks from your doorstep, whether they be gentle riverside ambles, or day long hikes up fells, before returning for a pint of ale and a hearty dinner at one of Boot's two family friendly, welcoming pubs. There is plenty to see and do nearby for all ages and interests, including the Ravenglass & Eskdale Narrow Gauge Steam Railway, which takes you on a stunning tour down the valley. Boot itself has England's oldest working water mill and you need not travel far or even jump in your car to see the National Park at its finest.
Every cottage is unique and full of history and character. We have maintained all the original features and stylishly intertwined all modern comforts, to create a luxurious and exquisite experience for all our guests. We recently installed new bathrooms in all our cottages and early in 2018 we fitted brand new kitchens in every cottage, so do come and be some of the first to enjoy them!
Our website has full details and short break prices, which are not displayed on Cumbria Tourism. We offer full week and short break bookings on all cottages throughout the year, with a minimum stay of 2 nights, so please do enquire if you cannot find the dates you are looking for. We have a cottage to suit all parties and some have ground floor facilities, making them suitable for those with limited mobility or disabled requirements.
