Derwent Cottage Mews is a spacious first floor apartment with one bedroom, part of the old stable block that abuts Derwent Cottage.
A substantial Lakeland house, Derwent Cottage is set in landscaped gardens in the quiet village of Portinscale, one mile from Keswick.
The apartment is tastefully furnished and decorated to a high standard, fully equipped for two people. The Mews has its own ground floor entrance into a hallway where there is plenty of hanging space for out-door clothing and a rack for footwear. A stairway leads to the accommodation. The living area consists of an open plan lounge, dining room and kitchen.
A partially glazed stable door gives direct access to the garden and patio via stone steps.
The fully integrated, traditional pine kitchen is in harmony with the high quality furniture in the living area.
The bedroom has light oak furniture which provides ample storage for clothing. The bed may be either twinned or a super king double. The ensuite bathroom has a bath with a separate shower over it, and the large, heated towel rail keeps the bathroom cosy during the cooler days.
This is an ideal location from which to explore the Derwentwater Fells, Borrowdale, Newlands Valley and the Skiddaw Range on foot, and the whole of the Lake District and Northern Pennines are easily accessed by road.
