Fern Howe Guest House is situated close to the popular market town of Keswick, within the picturesque village of Braithwaite. We are set in the perfect location for families, cyclists, walkers, photographers and artists alike, with the vast array of local attractions on offer.
Fern Howe is run on a bed and breakfast basis, providing high quality accommodation, food, drink and toiletries, to ensure that guests have a comfortable and relaxing stay. As we are passionate about supporting local businesses and providing a sustainable Lake District experience, our produce is locally sourced, free-range and Fairtrade wherever possible, and we use eco/animal-friendly products.
Due to the elevated position of the property within the village, most guest rooms have views out to the fells of Skiddaw, Latrigg and Blencathra, to name a few, with the remaining rooms having views out to Fern Howe's hillside garden, with the addition of one courtyard garden view room. We have ten guest rooms to suit a range of guests, including super king, double, twin, single and family rooms, all of which have en-suite bathrooms. Within the guest rooms there are flat screen TVs with Free-view; hair dryers; mini-fridges; kettles; Out of Eden luxury toiletries; complimentary Wi-Fi; USB ports; Farrer's tea, coffee and hot chocolate; and biscuits. There is also on-site parking for all guests.
We have an outdoor seating area, where guests can indulge in the views out towards the fells, whilst perhaps enjoying a drink and snack. Further complimentary facilities include the use of a drying cupboard; a secure bicycle storage area; and literature on local cycle and walking routes.
