About

Warm, specially designed cottages on a hill farm with access to fells for walking, wildlife, bird watching, cycling. Children any age welcome as are pets by prior arrangement. Entry is usually available from 13.00 on arrival day and departure must be by 10.00 unless previously agreed.

Village pub 0.75 miles with real ales and food. Excellent walking/cycling from Cottages. Free Roaming herd of Exmoor ponies. Lovely stream for paddling and picnics. RSPB Reserve next door.

Road Directions

From A69 at Brampton take B6413 the Castle Carrock road. Past the golf course turn left signed Talkin Village. In centre of Talkin take road to the left of the Blacksmiths Arms and after 400 yards turn right into a small road signposted Talkin Head. Long byres is about 400m along this road on the right.
