You are here: Home > Accommodation > Old Kings Head
The Old Kings Head is now privately owned. It has undergone extensive refurbishment on its six En-suite bedrooms. They have been tastefully decorated & offer comfort to the discerning traveller. The public rooms have open fires and have been beautifully decorated while keeping the Old-World charm.
There is a well-situated bar with adjoining lounge area with comfortable leather sofas & chairs. Dogs are welcome in the bar area & two of the bedrooms are also dog friendly. The restaurant is decorated to commemorate Henry’s six wives and boasts original features from when the building was a coach house. There is also another small room named Henry’s Den that can be used for small get togethers or meetings. The Old King’s Head boasts a large well-maintained beer garden. There is a custom built outdoor kitchen for barbeques. Local live bands perform here in the summer months. We also have a secure lock up for cyclists.
Our wonderful kitchen team have created menus which consist of pub classics & traditional Lakeland faire. Local ingredients are sourced whenever possible.
