Lowick School Bunkhouse offers fantastic facilities for a group party - affordable accommodation in a rural setting with views of the mountains. Weekends are sole use for a great house party venue combined with our fantastic activities.

'+activities' prices require the group staying to book an activity as part of their stay at an additional cost, but not everyone has to take part. A wide range of activities are available. The exception to this is that sports clubs can stay at our 'Clubscheme' rate where they are providing their own activities – please discuss it with us if you think you fit in this category.

During school holidays family activity holidays are available - a fantastic combination of a family room and our outdoor adventures. A maximum of 3 families can stay at the bunkhouse but with 2 lounge areas and large kitchen/diner and plenty of outside space there's plenty of room for everyone.

The kitchen-diner has plenty of work top space and open shelving for you to store your food. A range cooker plus fridge and freezer, microwave toaster and large sink. The dining space has tables plus stacking chairs.

The main lounge has the all-important wood burning stove, double height ceiling, sofas, dvd player, projector and screen, white board, table football and wii. There is also a second lounge area above the kitchen.

Bedrooms all have a chalet feel with purpose built bunkbeds. A mattress is provided and groups should bring sleeping bags and pillows. There are male and female toilets and showers, though these will be open to all should the group be single sex.

Lowick School Bunkhouse is within the old primary school in Lowick Green nestled between Coniston (9 miles) and Ulverston (6 miles) within the Lake District National Park, Cumbria. We are 25 mins drive from junction 36 of the M6 and only 4 miles from Coniston Water. It is less than a mile to 2 pubs - either a pleasant walk down a back lane to the Red Lion or down the main road to the Farmers Arms.

Groups booking sole use are asked to pay a £250 damage deposit that is refunded as long as there is no excess damage or cleaning required after the stay.
