About

Stunningly beautiful and renovated to the highest standards, The Hyning Estate offers six self catering cottages. All are beautifully appointed and sympathetic to their 17th Century Origins. Inspired Design, the best local materials, re-use and sustainability all coalesce to create a truly outstanding holiday experience. Retained beams, sandstone quoins, limestone floors, roof top patios, Juliette balconies and ironwork are skilfully combined with modern bathrooms, oak and granite kitchens and the latest high-tech appliances. The Estate is triple-glazed with Ground Source Heat Pumps and Solar Panels providing hot water and under floor heating backed by Heat Recovery (MVHR) Systems. All dwellings also feature a Wood Burning Stove.

Bar & Patio @ Reception - open during the day and one evening per week during the summer holiday season and by arrangement.

Road Directions

Most GPS’s take you to the wrong place. If using a GPS then enter Grayrigg rather than our post code and follow these instructions from Grayrigg

From Grayrigg leave the village on the main A685 with the Church on your left. After ½ a mile take the first turning on the right (signposted Lambrigg 1) and then turn
immediately right into our driveway (which is well signed). If coming from the North then leave the M6 at J38 and head towards Kendal on the A685. Just before reaching Grayrigg turn left (signposted Lambrigg 1) and then turn immediately right into our driveway (which is well signed).
