About

A selection of five one and two bedroom boutique style luxury apartments, The Mews @ Roundthorn sit in the landscaped grounds of the Roundthorn Country House, on the outskirts of the pretty market town of Penrith. Enjoying panoramic views of the Eden Valley and Lakeland Fells, whether it be for a summer walking break, a romantic getaway or to cosy up in the winter months, the modern apartments make for an idyllic holiday destination all year round.

Furnished to an exceptionally high standard, The Mews @ Roundthorn provide you with the flexibility of being self sufficient and able to relax in your own surroundings, whist still being able to enjoy the impeccable service and facilities that the Roundthorn Country House has to offer. Breakfasts and evening meals can be booked, or for a special treat you could indulge in a delicious afternoon tea on the terrace

Each spacious apartment includes a fully fitted kitchen, and comfortable dining and living areas with 50” wall mounted smart televisions. Luxurious Superking beds are standard, whilst the second bedroom of the two bed apartments can be made up as a twin. Each individual bedroom has its own en suite; either a bath over shower or wet room. To the rear of each is a decked area to sit and enjoy the peace and tranquillity. Housekeeping services can be arranged and storage for bikes is available in the hotel. For those needing it, one of the mews apartments also has wider doorways and a spacious wet room, ideal for those with mobility difficulties.

Just ten minutes drive from Lake Ullswater, theres plenty to do in the surrounding area for both young and the young at heart. Days out walking, sailing or adventure playing are just a few suggestions of ways to spend quality time, all just on the doorstep. With plenty of tourist information and local knowledge, the team at the Roundthorn are always happy to help you plan your break.

Arrival days at the Mews @ Roundthorn are flexible and early check ins and late check outs can usually be accommodated on request.
