Todd Hills Hall Farm is a renovated family Cumbrian sandstone farmhouse positioned on a hill along a quiet country lane between the villages of Melmerby and Gamblesby, Todd Hills Hall Farm offers glorious views from 6 luxury ensuite rooms including one on the ground floor.
The large breakfasting kitchen is equipped with a two oven Aga, a SMEG gas hob and electric oven and a fridge freezer with a wine chiller. The large Dining Room table converts to a billiards table and the Day Room has stunning views west to the Lake District fells and east to the Pennines. If the Cumbrian mists kick in, you can settle in around its woodburning stove in the Dining Room or the double sided wood burner in the Day Room. Todd Hills Hall Farm has 6 double bedrooms all with exquisite ensuites with a choice of rainfall showers or cast iron baths.
Nearby Melmerby Village has a lovely little village post office tea room shop, a great and reasonably priced antique shop and The Old Village Bakery which serves breakfasts, lunches, coffees, bread and cakes and has a lovely ladies fashion, interior and gift shop upstairs called 'Hollberrie' which is definitely worth a visit to support local independent retailing! Melmerby has a village pub called The Shepherd's Inn which is very welcoming and serves delicious food. All these are within an easy walk of the hall. There are some great country pubs for dining (The Fetherston Arms & the Crown) which are a short journey away in Kirkoswald. Todd Hills Hall Farm is a walkers’ luxury base, a retreat for writers and artists in need of calm inspiration, or a welcoming celebratory space for family and friends near the Lake District.
