Conveniently located just fifteen minutes from the M6 motorway and halfway between Penrith and Keswick, the Whitbarrow Village resort sits beneath the Blencathra Fell and offers both luxury and serenity to all who visit. Comprising four types of accommodation: Skiddaw Cottages, Caldew Cottages, Troutbeck Cottages and The Farmhouse Apartments (winner of the Cumbria Tourism Self Catering Accommodation of the Year 2018.)

Farmhouse Apartments

The stunning Farmhouse Apartments won Self Catering Accommodation of the Year in the Cumbria Tourism Awards 2018 and are amongst the best family friendly properties in the Lake District. With bright interiors channelling the beauty of the surrounding landscape, this converted Farmhouse can sleep up to 12 across two apartments. Open plan living, sumptuous furnishings and private hot tubs make the Farmhouse Apartments the best place to relax in luxury.


Troutbeck Cottages

Our wonderfully spacious Troutbeck Cottages are ideal for family getaways. Featuring beautiful, modern interiors, three cosy bedrooms and a private hot tub the Troutbeck Cottages can comfortably sleep up to 8 guests. Certain lodges also feature a children’s den complete with TV, oversized pebble floor cushions, woodland wallpaper and autumnal leaf flooring (please enquire for availability at time of booking).


Caldew Cottages

The charming Caldew Cottages are perfect for a self catering break in the Lake District with a touch of luxury. Light and airy throughout with an alfresco dining area and private hot tub, these cosy cottages comfortably sleep 4 guests.  


Derwent Cottages

The Derwent Cottages are perfect for a romantic getaway. Combining traditional elegance with modern luxuries, these cosy cottages are ideal for relaxing with a loved one.

Road Directions

From M6 jct 40 follow the A66 towards Keswick for 8 miles. When you reach the Farm Shop on the left hand side, take the right hand turn for the Sportsman Inn. Take the road directly opposite the pub, take the next right past the caravan park then after a few yards take the right hand turn into the entrance.
