About

Nothing can create a more the perfect location than Muncaster Castle, Utilising the best of the Lake District’s local producers, the menu is mouth-watering and exquisite with a wine list to match.

The experience can be enhanced by adding a private tour of the Castle after hours (usually by a member of the Pennington family) before dining or an elegant Champagne reception in the Great Hall. With private and free parking, the Lake District hills and historic Castle and Gardens, there is no better place to hold your event.

For an evening function, we have the 4 star Coachman's Quarters bed and breakfast accommodation in the Castle Gardens or at the local three star luxurious Pennington Hotel in the village with 21 rooms. Just a few miles up the road is the new Sella Park House Hotel which also provides an additional 11 suites. There is also an additional private function room with a bar, situated within the gardens of Muncaster.

We recommend visitors with disabilities contact us before their arrival for advice.
Dogs are welcome on site but can't enter the castle or Owl Centre.
