Facilities
Our 17th Century farmhouse features a traditional beamed lounge available at all times, ample private parking, secure bicycle storage and drying room. The Farmhouse is situated within attractive gardens; front and back.
Rooms
We have six rooms, one is suitable for mobility impaired guests. All three ground floor rooms are dog friendly with direct access to the garden and our own field.
The Area
Scales Farm is very fortunate to be located on the southern slopes of Blencathra one of the most loved mountains in the Lake District, famous for Sharp Edge an exhilarating route to its summit.
Local Knowledge
We were hillwalking leaders for 15 years and remain enthusiastic fell walkers. We are familiar with many areas of the Lake District and in particular Blencathra.
