Itinerary

First stop: Kirkstone Pass
The Lake District’s highest pass that is open to motor traffic, with an altitude of 1,489 feet, enjoying stunning views including Lake Windermere.

Second stop – Stock Ghyll Force – Ambleside
A 70 foot waterfall. The perfect place to stretch your legs and take some photos

Third Stop: Tilberthwaite Farm
An off-road track that offers picturesque views, of mountains and countryside surrounding Elterwater and Little Langdale.

Forth Stop: Cathedral Quarry – Elterwater
This man-made quarry is more spectacular than pictures alone can convey, with its wonderful echo and tunnels of over 100m long.

The car:

A Land Rover Discovery Sport which can comfortably accommodate groups of up to four guests. The car is well known for its off-road capability and will make driving up and down steep hills look easy whatever the weather.

The Driver:

Ian Doig is an official South Lakeland Private Hire Licence Holder. He is local to the area and can provide personal stories about the local area and its history. Ian also has a keen interest in driving and a particular passion for off-road adventures.

Meeting Point:

We can pick you up and drop you off at your accommodation or from an alternative pick up point that fits in with your day. We will contact you before the tour date to agree the most suitable pick up and drop off point.
