Ghyll Scrambling

Explore the delights and stunning scenery by canoe. We run guided trips on Coniston Water, Windermere and Wastwater. Half, full days available. Trips are available to suit everyone and our canoes can also be made into stable rafts.

Experience the thrills of abseiling down a sheer rock face. For those that love a challenge! We have a few different abseiling experiences to choose from.

Bushcraft is a collection of skills that can be used to survive in the natural environment. Try your hand at friction fire lighting, wild cooking or foraging. We offer family fun bushcraft, canoeing bushcraft and fundamental courses

We offer Rock Climbing for every level so if you are just beginning and want a taste of climbing or if you are an indoor wall climber and want to progress to the next step through to guiding you up the Lake District classics.

Rock Climbing

Our local friendly guides will show you some of the Lake Districts most beautiful places. Maybe you want to tick off Striding edge, reach the summit of Scafell Pike or learn the navigation skills to go alone. We give you the confidence to go and do it.

Guided Walks

Scramble your way up a mountain and enjoy the views. Scrambling can be as easy or hard as you want to make it. We can guide you on technical roped scrambling or take you on popular walking scrambles such as Striding Edge on Helvellyn.

Scrambling

Take a guided trip to explore Coniston Water. Stop off along the way to have a go at fire lighting and carving a whistle. For a full-day adventure, canoe the length of the lake, stopping off to light a fire and prepare and cook a whole rainbow trout.

Canoe & Bushcraft

Have a go at Archery on our beautiful private estate surrounded by woodland and fells. We've loads of games to keep you and your party entertained. A great activity for all ages.

Ghyll scrambling is basically exploring your way up and down a river, climbing, sliding, swimming and jumping off big ledges into deep pools. Path to Adventure do a few trips, we did the Coniston Beck 14+ version and had lots of fun. The equipment provided was amazing and kept us warm. Our guide Adam was friendly, funny and informative. Such a cool way to explore a beautiful and vital part of the Lake District's ecosystem, sometimes fighting the rapids, sometimes letting the river guide you along. Would recommend it as a great activity which is a little different. It's adventurous but suitable for all the family and age groups (they have different trips catered this way) and I believe the Eskdale trip is the next step up in terms of fear-factor so that is where I will be heading next!!
