If you love cycling, bike touring, walking, orienteering, paddling, running, exploring nature or sitting still and simply bird-watching and want a comfy, cosy base with friendly hosts, Witherslack Cycle Barn is the perfect place. Perhaps you’re travelling alone, with friends or in a group, and just want to explore the beautiful South Lake District. Stay a while with us in our comfortable, quiet and cosy LUXURY BUNK HOUSE, in Witherslack, nestled under Whitbarrow Scar nature reserve, just off the A590 and on several national cycle routes.

You’ll enjoy nature at its best, dark night skies, birdsong and wildlife.

This isn’t just your standard bunkhouse. The cycle barn has been purpose-designed and renovated to a high standard by the previous owners Steph and Rick, converted from a traditional Lakeland bank barn and designed to suit outdoor lovers who after being out and active all day, want a comfortable cosy base with great facilities to return to.
We know that’s important and… excellent value for money too at only £29 per person per night.*

*Subject to conditions, supplements

Importantly – there’s no sharing of bathrooms – each room has its own en-suite facilities, not to mention comfy beds and peace and quiet.

There’s a bright, modern and warm communal space, with full kitchen and cooking facilities, wood-burning stove and large dining table.
Free tea and coffee on the house.

Of course, we offer secure bike store, bike wash, BBQ bench, firepit and outside picnic tables for that early morning coffee, or evening beer.

Bringing pooch?
We’re dog friendly in some rooms £10 per stay per dog (max 2).
