Tripadvisor Traveller Rating
1098 reviewsAbseiling (or rappelling) is descending a rock face by moving down a rope. You control your own speed as you are the own in control of your descent. Don't panic though, you will also be on a safety rope that's held by an instructor so it's a perfectly safe activity! You will be taught the best position to get in to begin your abseil descent and how to handle the rope. A common fear is the fear of heights, so abseiling is the one activity we offer where people can be very nervous before taking part. This is totally understandable and we will give you plenty of encouragement and patience to help you overcome any fears. After the initial stepping backwards over the rock face, you will hopefully relax somewhat and enjoy your descent. You might even be able to look around at your surroundings on your way down and enjoy the views!
