Abseiling with Rock n Ridge

Abseiling:

If you’ve never abseiled before then do it! Most of our customers say it’s something they want to try that’s on their ‘bucket list’!
Our abseils vary from 10m through to 50m in length. Again we want to push your comfort zones but not push you over the edge…no pun intended.

Venues:

Abseiling can be done from nearly any piece of rock! That said we use friendly tried and tested venues for most of our sessions. Sometimes we do abseil from stranger more remote places, but these are generally when running one of our Rock Climbing days/courses. Langdale - Keswick and anywhere in between is our office.

Kit:

We provide all safety equipment – Helmet, harness/hardware. We just ask for people to wear sensible shoes/boots. No sandals, slip on’s or high heels!

Duration:

A half days activity like Abseiling will be from 09:30 – 12:30/13:00 – Start times can be moved slightly to accommodate.
Alternatively an afternoons session will be 13:00 – 16:00/16:30.

Parking:

A note on parking in the Lake District. We’d love it if all the major players in the Lakes got together and did a daily/season parking permit. Or a bit like Americas national parks, a ticket that then enables you to visit them, drive and park in all the car parks and use the facilities on route! Sadly we are behind the times and don’t operate in this way. Wherever possible we try and park for free, but sometimes we may need/have to park in car parks like the National Trust. By joining them it could save you £’s when visiting the area.
