About

Outdoor activities for business, corporate outings, families, groups, friends or stag and hen parties. A mobile business based in the Lancashire and South Lakes areas.

Kayaking

With our qualified kayak coaches, we can support you to develop your kayak skills. We can take your group paddling on a journey around the lake or along a short, slow river. Our kayaking sessions can also incorporate some little challenges and kayak games whilst out on the water.
This can be combined with Canoeing or SUP boarding.

What’s involved: - paddling coaching – games – short journey along a slow river

Location: Coniston For ages: 12 years + Group Size: 2 – 8

Canoeing

Paddling in our open Canadian canoes, allow you to take in stunning lake district views. Our canoeing sessions offer our customers the opportunity to develop paddling techniques, as well as, to take part in fun and games on the water. During the warmer months our canoeing activities often result in getting wet (wetsuits are provided), whereas, throughout the colder, winter months we tend to keep our customers dry!
If you like adventures or the story ‘Swallows and Amazon’s’ you might like to try our ‘Swallows and Amazon’s’ inspired adventure session. This session is ideal for families, as it allows your little one’s imagination to run free! Canoes are doubled up and rafted together to allow families to paddle together to the famous ‘Wild Cat Island’ (Peel Island). On landing, everyone can disembark and explore the island. Following the story theme customers will make a shelter and fire. Groups then have the chance to cook marshmallows and popcorn on the fire. If appropriate, participants will have the opportunity to jump off rocks into the lake. On the return journey you might also have time for a few games on the water.

What’s involved: - paddle to Island – island exploration – games on the water – jump off rocks into lake if appropriate – skills and techniques coaching
Location: Coniston
For ages: 8 years +
Group Size: 2 – 12

Raft Building

This is the ideal activity for groups of 4 or more who want to challenge both the mind and body. The aim of the session is for you and your group to work out how to build a raft using only wooden spars, barrels and rope.
So think carefully about how you build it, otherwise you might end up with a different view of the lake when you are in it! You will then be expected to launch your raft on a lake and paddle to a given destination – that’s if it stays in one piece! If you are up for more challenges and games, your instructor will get you involved in doing little challenges when you are out on the lake – be aware you are likely to get wet!

With larger groups, you might be working in teams, in competition against one another. When out on the water you can then choose to take part in some games, such as races or tug of war between the two rafts (wetsuits and helmets are provided). This activity is very well suited to stag and hen groups, as well as, larger groups of friends and families.
What’s involved: - Building rafts using wooden spars and barrels – launching raft on to water – games on the water This is a 3 hour session.

Location: Coniston
For ages: 10 years +
Group Size: 4 – 20
