Bespoke Mountain Day – We’ll build it for you.  Choose your valley, choose your mountain(s) and we can guide you there, with interesting local facts along the way.  Our guides know the valleys and mountains of The Lake District like the back of their hands and are always keen to share their knowledge to bring your day alive, whatever the weather.  All our guides are qualified Mountain Leaders and will give you how to move through the mountains with confidence, keep you safe and on track so you can enjoy your day and the views.  Routes can be adapted along the way.

Borrowdale – Scafell Pike & Valley Walking Breaks

Our walking breaks from Borrowdale Valley, just south of Keswick and Derwent Water can be tailored to your group.  We can offer 2, 3 or 4 days of walking in the valleys or up onto the high mountains on the Scafell Massif.  There are many mountain day options to choose from including Scafell Pike itself, a wonderful day out for good strong fell walkers with various route options available.  Other mountain days options include: Glaramara, Esk Pike, Great Gable or Cat Bells & many moor. Borrowdale is home to the 1500 year old Borrowdale Yews; and also Millican Dalton’s Cave, who brought the concept of the first camping package holidays to the mountains, whilst living in a cave. This valley is also famous for the discovery of Graphite used famously in pencils.  Each day’s walking can be tailored to your party whether you choose mountains, or valleys, we specialise in making each day work how you would like.

Horseshoe Classics – North Lakes – 3 Day Walking Holiday

Walk 3 classics in 3 days – a fabulous challenge, not for the feint hearted.  The hiking on these routes, especially Borrowdale, is for those with good mountain fitness and includes difficult technical terrain!  Our expert guides have fabulous knowledge of the area, its secrets, stories and local knowledge.  These epic days are some of the most sought after in the Lake District.

Borrowdale Horseshoe - 12km & 1400m ascent

Newlands Horseshoe - 16km & 1100m ascent

Buttermere Horseshoe - 18km & 1400 ascent or 20km & 1900m ascent
