Ghyll Scrambling – Langdale
Situated in the heart of The Lake District National Park is Stickle Ghyll. A truly unique ghyll that winds its way up the mountain side towards Stickle Tarn, which is nestled between the magnificent Langdale Pikes.
Explore natures playground and marvel at the stunning scenery on offer. Take the plunge into crystal clear pools and scramble your way up numerous rocky scrambles and waterfalls. This ghyll finishes with an optional big roped climb right up the middle of a 12m waterfall.
Our expert guides know the ghyll's intimately and will tailor the day to your group offering up loads of fun challenges along the way. All the challenges, pools and climbs are optional.
This is the least aquatic of our ghylls in low water and is great if you want to stay a bit drier, however there are plenty of opportunities to get fully immersed if you so wish. It is a great venue in high water or winter months when all the other ghylls can become inaccessible.
The start is next to the car park and it is accessible with a public footpath running up the entire length. Perfect if you have party members that wish to spectate, but don't want to get their feet wet.
