Treat yourself to a fabulous day out by train on the famous Settle to Carlisle line this summer.
The Settle to Carlisle railway is one of the most famous scenic lines in the UK. The route which is part of the national rail network will play host to dedicated high quality 2 metre compliant ‘socially distanced’ all first class trains.
Our comfortable classic 'Inter City' trains will be made up of all first class traditional carriages with large tables, air conditioning, individual power points and comfy well-padded reclining seats. Each bay for two guests only will be separated by specially fitted Perspex screens to provide private spaces for families while maintaining safe social distancing. All guests will be guaranteed window seats enabling guests to view the stunning Yorkshire dales and upper Eden Valley in Cumbria. An on-board guide will provide a limited commentary as the train passes historic points of interest such as ‘the three peaks’, Ribblehead viaduct, Dent - the highest mainline station in England and Ais Gill summit nearly 1000 feet above sea level.
The new timetabled charter trains will run three return trips a day between Skipton & Settle in Yorkshire non-stop to Appleby in Cumbria. The trains will run from Monday to Saturday between 20th July and 12th September.
Fares for this stunning 112 mile round trip are priced per couple at: £58, £68 or £78 depending on train and date.
