You are here: Home > Things to Do > Horse and Husky
We generally have approximately 15 huskies, the numbers change depending on how many dogs we have rescued and rehomed. Our core pack are those dogs which require much more active lifestyles than a home environment can provide. You will have the opportunity to meet our exceptionally friendly and awesomely good-looking huskies who absolutely adore meeting new people.
Our most usual 'sledding' (Dry-Land-Mushing) session is what we refer to as our 90-minute Bronze session. This is where full comprehensive instruction and demonstrations are given. The huskies will run approximately three miles during a session which can be shared between two people.
Our instructor will be with you at all times and is also able to guide the dogs throughout the experience and will act as a backup. We will choose the huskies that we feel will match your level of confidence and potential skill level. We ask that people are able to ride a bike as that means we know they are able to steer and use the brakes on our rigs appropriately. You do not necessarily have to ride the bike on the day.
We do offer a silver experience for those who have achieved our Bronze and who feel able to cope with a more challenging environment.
We also offer a 90-minute hiking with huskies session which includes our ‘Meet the pack’ and at the beginning of the session we can decide on how far you wish to hike. Our instructor will be accompanying you on the hike and is able to assist wherever required. We generally have two people to one husky.
We are able to help you get your dog (if a suitable bred) started with the sports of Dry-Land-Mushing, Bikejoring and Canicross.
In addition to this, we can provide behavioural consultations and we can address any struggles you may be having with your dog. These may include anxiety issues, overexcitement on walks, persistant jumping up on people and barking/lunging when on lead. Many dogs also suffer with a level of separation anxiety and we are very experiences in helping resolve this.

Bank House is located 50 yards before you reach the railway station, there is no sign for us. We're opposite 'Peter Woodhouse LTD' (Agricultural Engineers). The house itself used to be an old bank and has 'Lancaster Banking Company' written in stone on the face of the building. Either park in front of our house Bank House, or on the off road section almost opposite.
Please do NOT park on the garage forecourt opposite (no parking notices) or in front of the house called WOODSTOCK. We request you do not park in front of any other houses as it will mean our neighbours have to park elsewhere which is annoying for them.
