Bush Craft and Primative Skills
Everyone can light a fire with a match (or even by pressing a button) but that's not the point! Spending time in the outdoors and being self sufficient brings out the creative side in people. You are made to work at a slower pace and take time to appreciate the natral surroundings and just being outside. We offer a small number of courses providing you with the chance to spend time outside and learn some new skills.
One Day Introduction to woodland bush craft
This course offers you a chance to dip your toe in the bush craft water. It covers safe use of knives, basic fire lighting, with and without matches. You will also learn simple shelter building, and getting clean water for cooking. It is suitable for most people including family groups with children 12yrs and older.
Prices: £75 per person. For families we offer a package at a cost of £280 per family (2 adults and 3 children under 16).
Canoe Journey with Bush Craft
Histrically caoes have always been used for jourying and as well as canoe skills those who journy also develpe skiils of the bushman. Our canoe bushcraft days combine a canoe trip with some basic shelter building and fire lighting with the aim of being able to purify water and make a small fire or use a Kelly Kettle to make a hot drink. Sessions can be either a half day or a full day.
