Lakeland Photo Centre enjoys a unique location with a photography studio and learning facility in a beautiful converted dry boathouse - literally right on the edge of Lake Windermere.
The business was established in 2019 by Ian Watts - a professional Photographer with a former career in business skills and product knowledge training.
Ian runs regular group photography skills workshops here as well as offering private group and one-to-one coaching sessions - either at the studio or on location in and around the Lake District National Park.
Ian also offers professional photography services specialising in action & sports events (human, equestrian, canine, yachting & motorsports), dynamic product photography, wildlife, and (of course) our wonderful local scenery.
Studio or location portraits are offered for anything from a small dog up to a family of 5 or 6. The studio is equipped with continuous LED lighting (safer than flash) and has green screen capability as well as traditional white and black backgrounds. We also have a rather special outdoor background - with luxury yachts in front of Belle Isle and the Claife Heights beyond!
We also offer a wide range of Wall Art as mounted canvas prints and framed photographs rom our own extensive library of images, for home, business or hotel.
If you prefer to use your own images, we have instant print kiosks and large format photo printing facilities for canvasses and high quality enlargements.
We also have our own Dye Sublimation equipment able to produce a wide range of gift / promotional items from either yours or our photographs. e.g. mugs & water bottles, coasters & placemats, jigsaw puzzles, cushions, display slates, bags, towels and much more…
Finally, we carry a small stock of photography accessories and consumables, such as cleaning kits, tripods, memory cards, filters, 35mm and 120 roll film, and can get most things to order if not in stock.
