You are here: Home > Things to Do > Packhorse Picnic - Full Circle Experiences
From our base at the foot of Loughrigg, we take families and groups on a one day adventure with beautiful horses carrying the load, following part of an ancient packhorse route with stunning views of Rydal Water.
Winston Churchill said “There is something about the outside of a horse that is good for the inside of a man.”
As true as this is, you will get so much more mental and physiological benefits from the many ways that we teach you to walk with the herd.
We start with a classic Meditate with Horses session to establish the start of a bond that will grow stronger as you travel.
Your journey will include bushcraft, a delicious meal cooked on an open fire, wild swimming and a bare-footing adventure in the forest.
As well as a deep and unforgettable connection that you establish with the horses, wildlife and nature, you will feel more in tune and connected to each other after experiencing the comradery of such a magical experience.
