About

Printfest is open to the public Saturday 2nd May 2020, 10-5pm and Sunday 3rd May 2020, 10-4pm.

Printfest is dedicated to the exhibition and sale of contemporary hand-made prints by some of the best printmakers in the UK and beyond. Printfest is a fantastic opportunity to meet the artists, view and purchase their artworks and find out more about printmaking.

Tickets for workshops will be available to purchase from mid-January 2020 for half day and full day sessions.

Printfest is a rare opportunity for some of the best of the UK’s printmakers to gather under one roof, to share practice and learn from each other.

Printfest was founded in 2001 and is the UK’s foremost artist-led printmaking festival. The Printfest weekend is held each early May bank holiday at the Coronation Hall in the festival town of Ulverston, Cumbria.

Printfest 2020 begins with the Opening Talk, 6pm Thursday 30th April with Printmaker of the year Anita Klein and Printmakers’ Printmaker Helen Murgatroyd.

Friday 1st May is the Private View ~ Become a Friend of Printfest and get a little bit of red carpet treatment! The Friends Preview begins at 6.30pm. Enjoy your visit with a complimentary glass of wine and catalogue half an hour before the official Private View opens at 7pm. An ideal gift experience for art lovers!
