Rock Climbing:
Looking for some rock climbing whilst visiting the Lake District? We provide half days and full days Rock Climbing days throughout the beautiful Lake District.
Even if you are new to the sport we cater for everyone. From total novices to people who are experienced we tailor the days for you.
For more seasoned climbers, we also run learn to lead climbing courses.
Rock climbing is a great activity for families to get involved with. It also makes a good activity for Stag and hen groups to try also. For more ideas for what to do. This can be combined with another activity so you get two activities in one day.
Venues:
Rock Climbing can be done from nearly any piece of rock! That said we use friendly tried and tested venues for most of our sessions.
Some of these include – Langdale – Scout crags, Raven crag, Bowfell, White Ghyll and Pavey Ark. For Keswick it would be Shepherds crag, Glaciated Slabs, and other venues in between.
Kit:
We provide all safety equipment – Helmet, harness/hardware. We just ask for people to wear sensible shoes/boots. No sandals, slip on’s or high heels!
Duration:
A half days activity like Rock Climbing will be from 09:30 – 12:30/13:00 – Start times can be moved slightly to accommodate.
Alternatively an afternoons session will be 13:00 – 16:00/16:30.
A full day would be 09:30 – 16:30
Parking:
A note on parking in the Lake District. We’d love it if all the major players in the Lakes got together and did a daily/season parking permit. Or a bit like Americas national parks, a ticket that then enables you to visit them, drive and park in all the car parks and use the facilities on route! Sadly we are behind the times and don’t operate in this way.
Wherever possible we try and park for free, but sometimes we may need/have to park in car parks like the National Trust. By joining them it could save you £’s when visiting the area.
