Our fleet of self-drive electric hire boats accommodates anything from 2 up to 10 passengers and allows you to explore England’s largest lake at your own pace.
Explore Lake Windermere, the largest natural Lake in England, and see Windermere from a whole new vantage point. Boating on the Lake gives you over 5 square miles to explore and our quiet electric eco friendly hire boats are the ideal way to do it. Besides the standard windermere boat hire packages, which start at only £20 per hour – making them the best deal on the Lake – we are more than happy to examine any special requirements you have to make your Lakes stay complete.
Types of boat available to hire:
Pioner – suitable for up to 6 people
These are totally open boats ideally suited to the fishermen amongst you as the rod can be completely passed around the boat without snagging.
These boats are powered by small outboard motors steered and controlled from a central consol. We have found that they can also be popular with parties as they feel that, due to their openness, they more at one with the Lake and Wildlife.
Mystic – suitable for up to 6 people
These quiet eco-friendly electric boats comfortably seat 6 people and are so easy to drive.
Steering is natural, similar to a car, and the electric motor is controlled by a simple joy stick giving forward and reverse.
The cabin roof rolls forward giving a very airy boat and with the back cover dropped you get a 360-degree view of the wonderful scenery.
Fantail – suitable for up to 6 people
These are our latest boats specially imported to suit the needs of larger parties or people wishing to have the ultimate Lake experience.
The boats have very comfortable seating for up to 10 people, however due to new regulations we can only accept bookings of up to six people. The Fantail is fitted with the latest style of economic electric motor drive. The boats are very easy to operate – controls are mounted in the central consul and operate in a similar fashion to the smaller Mystic boats.
Pink Fantail - suitable for up to 10 people
As part of our corporate responsibility program we are pleased to launch a project to assist Cancer Research funding. One of our specially imported Fantail boats has been finished in Pink and is fitted with a hard top which carries the Breast Cancer logo.
This boat is specially reserved and can only be hired by people who wish to support Cancer Research by making a donation of £5 for each hour they hire the boat. This means that the normal hire charge for one hour has been increased by £5 and we will match your donation by additionally making a donation of £5 per hour thereby giving Cancer Research a total of £10 for each hour the boat is being used.
