Jubilee Floristry Workshop
Thursday 2nd June from 10.30am
Join Katie from Forage & Foliage for this two hour workshop where you can create your very own Jubilee inspired floral arrangement.
Live Music
Saturday 4th June from 12pm
We are delighted to be welcoming The Long Nights Bluegrass Band to Beetham Nurseries on Saturday 4th June from 12pm, playing an afternoon of lively and upbeat music for all to enjoy!
Plant a Rowan Tree
If you have a special place you would like to plant a Rowan Tree to commemorate the Queen's Jubilee, visit our website to enter your details to receive one of our two hundred saplings. All those who complete this form will be contacted and informed as to whether their submission has been successful and if so, when and where to collect your sapling across Jubilee Weekend (between Thursday 2nd and Sunday 5th June).
Family Events
Free Crafting Drop-In
Saturday 4th June from 11am
Join us from 11am on Saturday 4th June for free child crafting with Kirstie. Head to the marquee on The Terrace where Kirstie will be hosting free 'Crown Crafting' where children are invited to decorate their own crown with dried petals, chalks and crayons. This is a free event and is suitable for those from 4 years old. Please note that all children attending will require an adult to be present at all times to supervise their crafting.
Seven Decades of The Queen Search
Thursday 2nd June - Sunday 5th June all day
Head to the Information Desk and ask for a Search Card, and scour the Garden Centre and Growing Nursery for Her Majesty The Queen through the decades. Note down the colour of the Queen's outfit and return the completed card to Information. Enter your details on the back of the card to be entered into a family giveaway of £30 Beetham Nurseries voucher. All searchers receive a treat for entering!
Traditional Lawn Games in The Growing Nursery
Thursday 2nd June - Sunday 5th June all day
Venture to The Growing Nursery Borders and find traditional Lawn Games for you to play and enjoy. From Croquet to Quoits, there is fun for all the family! Please note this activity is weather permitting and all children must be accompanied by an adult.
Children's Art Competition
Thursday 2nd June - Sunday 5th June all day
The theme for the Jubilee Art Competition is 'Afternoon Tea with the Queen's Corgis' - use your imagination and create your very own masterpiece to hand in across Jubilee Weekend. There will be a prize for those aged up to 4 years old and a prize for 4 years + so all ages are welcome! Collage, paint, draw... there are no rules! Bring along your piece of art between 2nd and 5th June and hand it in to Information Desk along with a parent or guardian's contact details to be notified if you have won!
Royal Canine Competition
Thursday 2nd June - Sunday 5th June all day
Last but not least, as all friendly four-legged friends are welcome to Beetham Nurseries, use our Royal Photoshoot Backdrop on The Terrace to 'strike a pose' using our props and accessories. Either upload your photograph to your social media with #RoyalBeethamBarkers or email us with your photo. The winner will receive a free doggy treat!
Beetham Nurseries is open Monday to Saturday 9am to 5.30pm and Sunday 10am - 4.30pm.
