Northern Traverse is a 190 Mile self-supported Ultra Race following Wainwright’s Coast to coast route from St Bees to Robin Hood’s Bay - 17th to 21st April 2021. Beginning at St Bees on the west coast, the route crosses the north of England through three National Parks finishing in Robin Hood’s Bay on the east coast. Taking in iconic mountains, valleys, moors and over 16,000 feet of ascent, the Northern Traverse is one of the most spectacular ultra races in the world. The Lakes Traverse is a challenging 60 mile ultra. This new race starts with the Northern Traverse in St Bees and crosses the entire Lake District, fnishing in Shap. You'll have 28 hrs to complete the race, from the western coast through Ennerdale, Borrowdale, over Grasmere Common and Fairfield, through Patterdale, over Kidsty Pike and along Haweswater and into Shap. A total of 12000 feet of ascent over 60 miles, this is a challenging yet beautiful Ultra.
