Mosaic in a Day at Cowshed Creative

Join us for a fun and relaxing day learning the art of mosaic. Create a colourful or your own mosaic tray. Learn about different materials and how to use mosaic tools, with lots of tips on design and pattern. Treat yourself to a great day out and take home an original mosaic of your own.
No previous experience needed.

Fee of £80 includes some great tuition, a stunning venue and a tasty, two-course lunch. Tea and coffee throughout the day and a slice of cake to finish.

An additional material fee of £10 will be charged depending on items made.

Kay Sandham Banks studied Graphic Design at Carlisle Art College & Trent Poly. Having lived in Tooting for over 25 years, she now divides her time between her native Cumbria and London. As well as creating some impressive Mosaic in her London studio, Kay has also been the lead artist on a variety of mosaic murals, both as a designer and in a teaching role. Her most recent commission is for South Lakes Council. She has extensive experience teaching Art and Design and Design Technology in London. Kay has also recently completed a PGCTA in Therapeutic Arts.

At Cowshed Creative, we run an extensive range of art, craft and heritage workshops in our beautifully converted art studio. Treat yourself to a creative experience on our traditional family farm in the heart of the Lake District. There's plenty of space to wander outside and enjoy the farm and wonderful landscape of the Kentmere Valley near Windermere and Kendal.
