The popular event Music for a Summer Evening returns to Hawkshead this year with a varied programme of 11 concerts and recitals. The programme, which has been running at the 12th Century Parish Church for almost 60 years, provides an entertaining series of musical concerts for Cumbria residents and summer visitors to the area.
We are thrilled to announce an exciting lineup of musical performances that will be taking place every Tuesday evening during June and July at 7:30 pm. This series promises to offer something for everyone, featuring a wide range of genres and talented artists.
Our series this year begins on 3rd June with the Burneside Brass Band. Expect a lively and varied programme designed to suit all tastes. In the following weeks, our schedule features performances ranging from Chamber Music and opera to a light-hearted organ extravaganza. The line-up includes returning favourites and several new performers
All of the concerts will take place in Hawkshead Parish Church, which provides an ideal setting for all types of music.
Mark your calendars and don't miss out on this spectacular series of performances. We look forward to seeing you there! Please Note: Entry to the concerts is free but there will be a voluntary collection supporting the Church, local and national charities. Car Parking is also free for concert goers on the evening of each concert in the main village car park during June and July.
