September marks a change in the seasons, which we can reflect on through weaving a small tapestry inspired by the surroundings of the Mill. We will take a short stroll down to the bridge (weather permitting), looking at the colours, textures and patterns around us and considering how they are changing. We will then return to the workroom and explore how to capture what we have seen through weave, using simple techniques and a range of yarns. If you have woven before, we can look at specific techniques such as creating shape and line, and exploring blending, hatching and transparency. There will also be a chance to take inspiration from the ArtyBird exhibition on at the time, A Process of Change. Suitable for beginners and improvers. Bring your own equipment if you have it, but there will also be looms warped up ready to go and a range of weft yarn for you to use.
£65 plus £5 for materials
