About

Bowfell Cottage is admirably situated fronting a private drive just off A5074, Lyth Valley Road, above eastern shore of the lake about 1 mile south of Bowness Bay and set in 0.5 acre of wooded ground and gardens.

In the heart of the Lake District National Park, Bowfell Cottage was built around 1895 in Lakeland stone to a design of Swiss origin and has a most attractive gabled appearance. Anne and Jim Tomlinson became resident owners over 20 years ago and shortly afterwards began to welcome guests and tourists establishing a considerable clientele over the years. Ideal for a comfortable stay in the friendly environment of a well-appointed cottage.
