About

Designed by award-winning Scottish Architects, Silecroft Beach Café on Silecroft Beach offers an idyllic setting to relax, recharge and enjoy some great food. It’s the perfect stop after a stroll on the beach, from where you can soak up some lovely views of the surrounding coast and fells.

The tasty menu features many local producers like the Woodall family butchers, Lakeland Mues Muesli and Claire's Handmade Preserves. Make sure you try their applewood and chorizo grilled cheese on white or malted wheat bread, or their hot turkey ciabatta roll, layered with herby stuffing and tangy cranberry sauce.

Furthermore, their spectacular cake selection includes delights such as sticky gingerbread buns, winter spiced fruit cake, Black Forest torte, Irish cream cruffin, white chocolate & salted caramel cookies and mince pie Bakewell.

Be sure to spot some interesting features of the careful design of the building. Outside you’ll find two sheltered courtyards and external shutters with a pattern motif designed in collaboration with Turner Prize-winning artist Martin Boyce. Once inside, look up to see the exposed timber roof made from large-section Douglas fir timber fins.
