There are lots of ways to enjoy the Cumbria Coastal Route, and getting here is easy - whether you’re travelling by car or using public transport.
The closest airports are Manchester and Liverpool for the southern end of the route, and Glasgow, Newcastle and Edinburgh to the north. Onward travel to Cumbria is available by car or train.
Train connections link Cumbria directly with a host of major cities including London, Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool and Newcastle. The Cumbria Coastal Route is easily accessible by train. Carlisle Train Station offers easy access to the rest of the country, while on the southern end of the route, there are connections via Lancaster to the Furness Line and the Cumbria Coast Line which both run along the Cumbria Coast.
