Date posted 28th September 2026
Organisations are being invited to swap the workplace for the great outdoors this autumn, in a series of ‘netwalking’ events on the new Westmorland and Furness Way this October.
These organised walking sessions will take place across different sections of this new 120-mile walking route, developed by Westmorland and Furness Council.
These council-led 'netwalks' are a chance for local councillors, entrepreneurs, business owners and professionals to learn more about the route, build connections, share ideas and boost wellbeing - while taking in some of Cumbria’s spectacular landscapes.
Four upcoming sessions will cover a distance of around five miles each and are planned daily between Monday 12 and Thursday 15 October. Walk locations vary from Eden and the Yorkshire Dales to the Lake District and the Furness Peninsula, so find your nearest and dig out your walking gear!
The netwalking sessions are open to businesses and organisations across the Westmorland and Furness council area. Each session is led by an experienced guide and has a maximum limit of 30 people.
