About

Hello from The Ro

A little bit about The Ro. We are a new kind of hotel in the heart of the most popular tourist destination of the Lakes, Bowness-on Windermere.

But we are more than just a hotel, we are an all-day destination for tourists and locals, a place that you can go with friends for a coffee or lunch with the family after a trip to Beatrix Potter World.

A place that is unexpected in its design but familiar in its northern service

Somewhere connected to the town, its people, a hub for local culture and a showcase for its arts from yesterday, today and tomorrow.

The Lake District is our place. We love it here. The way strangers say hello to each other on their morning walks. The incredible landscape that takes your breath away, no matter if you are seeing it for the first time or the millionth.

Were here to do things a little differently…
