The More to Explore project in Morecambe Bay is developing a series of all-ability routes and associated all-terrain mobility scooter hire venues. The aim is to open up parts of Morecambe Bay to a wider range of users from families with pushchairs to wheelchair users, allowing the discovery and exploration of the rich cultural and environmental heritage of the area.
The project is at an early stage – currently piloting an initial series of routes and working with partners to establish a network of hire venues and volunteers. Morecambe Bay Partnership is committed to continue to develop and promote more facilities as the project develops.
