Cockermouth LIVE! is a local music festival, combining an exciting programme of headline, ticketed events and a weekend of free gigs by local musicians and performers hosted by over 20 venues across the town.

Running from 2nd to 5th July, this year the festival features headline acts Yoko Pwno, Snake Davis and Sam Millne & The Variants as well as special concerts by Paramount Brass Quintet, Cockermouth’s own Mechanics Band and a Grand Finale with the Cockermouth Community Orchestra.

On Thursday 2nd, the festival kicks off with a special collaboration with Cockermouth Music Society to bring a special concert by Paramount Brass, a quintent of talented young musicians from the Royal Northern College of Music.

Friday night's headliner is Snake Davis, one of the world's most in demand sax players, who has played with some of the biggest names in pop music from Take That to Paul McCArtney. On Saturday night Jenning's Brewery hosts Sam Millne & The Virants, whilst at the Kirkgate you'll be blown away by energetic Scottish folk band Yoko Pwno.

At the heart of the festival every year are the free gigs by over 70 local acts throughout Saturday and Sunday in venues across town, from shops, churches, cafés and restaurants to the iconic Cockermouth Castle and the newly rebooted Jennings Brewery. From choirs and rock bands, ukeleles to singer songwriters, folk to jazz, you’re bound to find something to enjoy. Wander round town and follow your ears!
