Karen and Alison would like extend a warm welcome to the Blue Swallow Guest House. Ideally situated on the edge of the historic market town of Penrith, the Blue Swallow Guest House is a charming Victorian town house built in 1851. The Guest House offers 7 comfortable and well presented rooms and is within easy distance of the town centre, bus and railway stations.
Penrith is situated just outside the Lake District National Park, located at the crossroads of the A66 and M6 (J40). Its central location within Cumbria makes it an ideal spot from which to explore the Lake District, Eden Valley, North Pennines and Hadrian’s Wall.
Penrith is a cycle friendly town with the classic C2C, Lakes & Dales loop, LEJOG and National Routes 7 & 71 all passing through. The Blue Swallow offers walkers and cyclists drying facilities and cycle storage.

If travelling on the M6 exit at J40. Head East, following the sign for A66 Brough and Scotch Corner. At the Kemplay Roundabout take the first exit onto Bridge Lane. Drive straight through the first set of traffic lights and the Blue Swallow can be found on your left, adjacent to the second set of traffic lights. If approaching from the A66 Westbound, take the 3rd exit at the Kemplay Roundabout exiting onto Bridge Lane.
Penrith North Lakes Rail Station is 5 minutes by car or 15 minutes walking distance. Penrith Bus Station is 5 minutes by car or 10 minutes walking distance. There are taxis at both the train and bus stations.
