CAMPING PITCHES & POD

Experience the great outdoors at Parkgate Farm, offering a variety of 9 large camping pitches (5 with electric hook-up, and 4 without) and one camping pod. Take advantage of the amenities including family shower rooms, separate toilets, washing-up area, and a washing machine and tumble dryer.

Each pitch has a hardstand and includes parking for one car and a picnic bench for outdoor dining.

Well-behaved dogs are welcome, with a maximum of two per pitch and must be kept off other pitches.

Suitable for tents, camper vans, motorhomes, touring caravans, roof tents and trailer tents.

Enjoy a BBQ with legs raised off the ground, however, disposable BBQs are not allowed due to fire risk.

Road Directions

From the South: Leave the M6 at J36 follow signs for Lakes/ Windermere. Take exit off the A591 onto A590 following signs for Barrow. Three miles beyond Newby Bridge, turn right onto the A5092. At Greenodd, turn right onto the A595. Follow this road to Holmrook, just before the petrol station, take a right turn towards Eskdale Green and then turn right just before Irton Hall. You will soon see Parkgate Farm entrance on the left.

From the North: Leave the M6 at Carlisle follow signs for Cockermouth on the A595 then for Whitehaven, stay on the A595 past Gosforth. At Holmrook, just after the petrol station, take a left turn towards Eskdale Green and then turn right just before Irton Hall. You will soon see Parkgate Farm entrance on the left.

Public Transport Directions

The nearest train station to Parkgate Farm is Drigg, which is 3.8 miles away.  There are no buses but local taxis are available if booked in advance.
