OUBAS Knitwear — Made in the Lake District
OUBAS is a small knitwear studio and micro-factory rooted in the Lake District, creating thoughtful, long-lasting clothing designed for life in this landscape.
From our Cumbrian studio, we design and produce small-batch knitwear using natural fibres — including British wools, merino wools, organic cotton, cashmere and linen — chosen for their warmth, breathability and comfort in changeable Lakeland weather!
Every piece is fully fashioned and made in England, with an emphasis on craftsmanship, provenance and longevity. These are garments created to be worn walking the fells, standing by the shore, or settling in by the fire — practical, beautiful layers that belong to this place.
OUBAS draws inspiration from the rhythms of the seasons, the surrounding landscape and the Lake District’s craft heritage, making clothing that feels grounded, useful and enduring.

Find us on Moor Lane, Flookburgh LA11 7LS. From Flookburgh village, head down Moor Lane towards the coast, we are on the right just past Flookburgh Fish on the right hand side. On-site parking available.
Public Transport Directions
Travel by train to Cark & Cartmel, then walking it is a 15 minute walk, through Flookburgh village and then out across the market place down Moor Lane. Walk 5 minutes down the lane towards the coast and you'll find us on the right. Regular buses also serve Flookburgh village.
