Luxury Hotel and wedding venue in the picturesque village of Cartmel. Overlooking the famous Cartmel Racecourse and minutes walk from the village famous for Sticky Toffee Pudding and Simon Rogan's Michelin restaurants, our boutique hotel is the perfect place for a relaxing escape in the beautiful South Lakes.

Our Georgian Country House features 12 individually designed bedrooms with original features, rich fabrics & cosy corners. Our bedrooms are all timeless and unique, blending traditional charm with modern luxuries. With 2 lounge and bar areas boasting log burning fires, it is the perfect spot for winding down after a day of exploring our beautiful surrounding fells and lakes.

Our onsite restaurant, 'The Refectory Restaurant & Terrace' uses local and seasonal ingredients to create delicious menus inspired by the Lake District. All room stays include a full continental and cooked breakfast. Our seasonal menu is served 12 - 7pm Thursday - Saturday to both residents and non-residents.

The hotel’s combination of elegant interiors, beautiful gardens, proximity to the 12th century priory and stunning natural landscapes make it an ideal venue for both indoor and outdoor weddings. We offer a limited number of weddings each year to create ultimate exclusivity.

Take the road to the right of the Cartmel Sticky Toffee Pudding Shop towards the race course. The racecourse will be on your right and you'll find us at the end of the racecourse. When the road forks, drive to the left where you'll find our entrance on your right.
