About

Explore our collection of classic cars, motorcycles, bicycles and automobilia and learn more about the history of road transport throughout the 20th century. Our award-winning museum is set within a stunning riverside location and houses unique displays that will appeal to the whole family.

Refresh your memory of iconic, unique, or unusual vehicles from your childhood and get up close to some rare examples from yesteryear. Our indoor museum is an all-weather attraction and with an ever-changing display and recreations it's always worth a repeat visit.

Special displays include Campbell Bluebird exhibition celebrating the record-breaking history of the Campbell family, Isle of Man TT display, Classic Bicycles and Lake District Industrial heritage.

Keep an eye on our website for visiting specialist clubs that exhibit their cars outside on most weekends, plus our popular Classic Drive & Ride In Days which see hundreds of private classics descend on the museum.

Add to this free parking, free kids quiz, great gift shop and a café on site and it makes for a great family day out. The whole site prides itself in being wheelchair-friendly and dogs are welcome throughout.
