About

Heading further north, you will discover the Solway Coast's outstanding landscapes, diverse habitats and rich heritage which have a special character that is recognised as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. 

Section 5 takes off from Maryport, head north along the B5300 toward Silloth - making sure to call into the chracterful village of Allonby along the way. This section then continues to makes it's way through the historic towns and villages along Hadrian's Wall, before heading north along the A595 toward the historic city of Carlisle. 

Carlisle is a camper-friendly city with a lot to offer, steeped in history and heritage and providing a cosmopolitan constrast to the Cumbrian Coast. From here you can easily rejoin the M6 to head home.
