About

When you want to get away from it all, you really can at Grange Manor. Take your pick of one of our eight sublime deluxe rooms set within a secluded woodland in Grange-over-Sands, the Lake District, Cumbria. Five of the rooms are deluxe garden rooms and have their own private gardens, with hot-tub. Located at the end of a quiet lane, disturbance from the outside world is minimal; this coupled with the beautiful fresh air drifting in from the Irish Sea makes for the perfect rural escape. Grange is especially well known for its delightful mild micro-climate making it a fantastic location to enjoy the great British countryside at its best. Our hotel is surrounded by glorious woodland, including Yewbarrow Wood and Eggerslack Wood, which contain several marked footpaths, fantastic to take a stroll and clear your mind. Better still for those looking for a greater challenge, Hampsfell Road leads to the limestone pavement crag of Hampsfell, from which 360 degree panoramic views of the Lake District and Morecambe Bay can be seen.

We are also blessed in Grange by a sensational culinary scene, the best in the Lake District. Cartmel is just minutes away where 3 Michelin star L'Enclume and 1 star Rogan & Co are located, as well as, even closer, the 1 star Heft at High Newton. This area is very much the culinary capital of Cumbria, who's reputation without doubt precedes it!

Grange Manor is also ideally located for those attending Cartmel Races, should you wish to make us your haven after the days activities.

Breakfast will be served to you in the comfort of your deluxe room - helping you to enjoy ultimate relaxation and to further make the most of our beautiful woodland, tranquillity and bird song. Fifty one different species of birds have been identified in the garden from their bird song. Each of the private gardens has a bird bath and bird-feeder so that you can enjoy watching the birds take a bath and listen to a symphony of bird song whilst relaxing in the hot tub.
