Maryport is welcoming back Taste Cumbria on Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 August 2026 for the Taste of the Sea festival.
After the success of expanding it over two sites last year, that will happen again this Summer, ensuring it makes the very best use of the town's waterfront. There's the new Harbourside event space, created as part Cumberland Council's £12 million regeneration of the town, as well as the big Marina showfield.Here's a flavour of the festival line-up – all of this is FREE to attend.

If you are travelling by car, follow the A595 from Carlisle, or leave the M6 at junction 42, take the A595 or A596 west and you should be here in just less than an hour.
Maryport has a railway station which makes the train an easy way to visit the festival. The nearest mainline train station is Carlisle – change here for the train to Maryport on the Cumbrian Coast Line.
