Ghyll Scrambling with Crags Adventures

Ghyll scrambling is basically ascending a ghyll (a mountain stream). Depending on the location this can include climbing waterfalls, scrambling up rocks in the stream and jumping into it. We have a location suitable for families with children from age 9 years in Langdale. We also have a location suitable for those 16 years and over in Eskdale. Both are set in stunning locations in the Lake District. Esk has numerous jumps and is a top day out for the older teen and adults. The location in Langdale is really exciting in higher water levels and we continue to run this through the Winter months with adults only.

We will provide you with warm, high quality, comfortable wetsuits and all the usual safety equipment required. We don't give you tattered, thin, old wetsuits covered in holes! You also don't need to bring old shorts to wear over the wetsuit, as our wetsuits are reinforced in the seat area for extra durability. If you book in the colder months (adults only)  we provide you with extra kit. We cater for families, hens, stags, couples and groups. If you are an individual you are able to book on if we have a session running - drop us an email! We will take photos/videos (free) of your adventure so you just need to focus on having a great time on the day.
