Brackenthwaite Holidays is set on 9-acres of private land within the designated Arnside and Silverdale National Landscape area, just a short drive south of The Lake District, Cumbria.
There are three self-catering properties available to choose from: a fabulously unique sleep-2 apartment called The Dairy, plus a two-bedroom sleep 4 unit called Corner Cottage adjacent to The Coach House, which is a larger, 3-bedroom sleep 6 property, both of which are in the courtyard of the premises. The properties and full site can be exclusively booked out for occasions.
Each property is full equipped and presented to a very high standard of comfort and style.
Up to three dogs are welcomed per property, but we ask that you use discretion: three English Mastiffs in The Dairy might be a bit too cosy!
Each property has dedicated outdoor space with allocated seating / dining, a BBQ and fire pit. Within the grounds you have access to a 2-acre fully enclosed and secure play and dog exercise area that is perfect to occupy and entertain your dogs and any children.
Brackenthwaite Holidays is conveniently located just a few minutes from the main A6 that provides access both north and south, and to the M6. Should you choose to explore beyond the Arnside & Silverdale National Landscape area, you will find Kendal, The Lake District, and Cartmel within easy reach to the north, and Lancaster and Morecambe readily accessible to the south.
As a former farm, now a smallholding, we have stables and paddocks onsite so if you holiday with your horse/s, you may also find us worth consideration.
Many of our visitors enjoy walking the countryside and taking in the spectacular views. For those willing and able there are more challenging walks and climbs to enjoy. Our website provides recommendations for during your stay including the best places to eat, all of which are dog friendly.
